There's already precedent for physical things to be able to affect ethereal things, but not vice versa. Anyone who's ever gone ethereal and been prevented from both walking through and from opening an unlocked door can tell you that.

I agree you shouldn't be able to dispel non-ethereal while ethereal. I don't know about vice versa.

Well, if dispelling material opponents from the ethereal plane incurred 15 seconds of lag, I'd say it was balanced.

The point is that with this, (And a lot of things in SK) there's arguments on both sides. One can't act as if there's no precedent for one way or another.

Assuming the ethereal form is a problem (not saying it is), seems like the right solution to me is that MR doesnt stop dispel magic. I dont know why you would be totally immune to dispel magic because you had MR in the first place. The magic is affecting spells, not the person per say.

(and yes its the dnd style argument there)
