I think that suggestion is only if the character's vision is hindered and they could see them if they weren't. So, like, if you had detect invis up, but not detect hidden, and got dirt kicked, a tell from an invis char would get the adjective, but a tell from a hidden char would still just get someone.

I just can't' imagine how a persons physical appearance could translate through a mental conversation. Is the person projecting their physical appearance through the mental communication? I just don't think that is right.

No one's talking about a physical description through tell. Rather, a description of their voice.

awww crap! that's' what I get for not paying attention. Totally support that we would know a voice if dirt kicked with the person saying stuff in the same room.

I know it's not everybody's style (in fact, I've never had a character who I've done this for), but some people give their characters "voices" at the begining of every say, yell, and tell by either describing it with *descriptive*, by coloring the words, or by doing both.
