Thanks for the awesome prologue :D
Goes without saying that Tat's going to miss the hell out of him.

Much love for Reinald, he had a ton of awesome stories, a lot of depth to the char, and there was never a boring moment.

Good job, Ned.

I liked Reinald at first, but slowly over time as my first character that met him got to know him better, mine and my character's opinion of him degraded a bit, for similar reasons. My character at the time thought Reinald must have been tainted by some foul darkness, because whenever she was witness to any controversy between Reinald and someone else of the light, he seemed way too happy to start tossing around threats instead of trying to resolve the situation. My opinion was that Reinald should have been a greybie, because I just don't think a scrupulous character should be threatening the life of a confused elf who's clearly just trying to figure out the cause behind a series of unfortunate events, among other things.

Your unwillingness to play red vs blue, as has been said, isn't my issue. My issue is that there are better ways to do it while sticking to your alignment. Ciadel was a pretty decent example, from what I saw of him.

I think this way of thinking is part of the problem with SK today. The help files for alignment are just that, help files. They are not a set in stone, must RP this way dictation. If they are meant to be that, then the IMMs should come out and say that. I read the alignment help file for a reference and then I roll with my own interpretation of what my char is gonna be for the alignment I have chose. My two cents.

Alignment rules are, in actuality, pretty set in stone in terms of the boundaries that delimit them. Within those boundaries, you have flexibility.

Curious... where in the helpfiles does it say that you must trust another lightie? Wait... it doesn't and is proven by others countertrust of Reinald. Where does it say that a lightie must accept the will of Hammer or other lightie aligned factions? Nope it doesn't. You all just got upset that he didn't play YOUR game. Get over yourself and your elitism and move on.

Next post should comment about how I am 'elitist' somehow. Guess what, make that topic in GD. This is about Reinald.

Galactus, I have no idea what you're talking about. Who said anything about trust, or the Hammer? And who's being elitist? Never go away, things get hilarious with you around.

As for the whole alignment thing - Arelgama, I prefer to play by the helpfiles. But before a huge debate starts up about them, I'll just copy pasta:

alignment helpfile wrote:
An in-depth description of each alignment is available by reading the
appropriate help file. Although you will be responsible for acting close
to the alignment you choose, you do not have to follow the help file word
for word. The help file is there to help you, not to tell you exactly how
to play your character.

That said, actions taken by imms in the course of Reinald's life are all the proof I need that certain infractions of alignment guidelines aren't tolerated. Maybe I just figured that those certain things would be common sense, but I suppose some people need the rules spelled out a little more plainly.

Go ahead and name call all you like, but I'm not going to sit here and say that Reinald was super fab when I don't think he was. I was honest about my opinion, and I think I was pretty nice about it. That's what constructive criticism is all about, isn't it? Take it or leave it.

We won't talk about how that certain IMM took action and their actions and what they aren't doing now.

I'd just like to stop you there, and point out that in fact, I am being elitist.

Sargas was too nice and friendly, and paid the price for that, but guess what. He's still an imm.

I don't think most of us are fit to lick Sargas' boots. He offers so, so much to the game.

Except, as ardith once mentioned in the comments at another site, it's pretty funny that the NPC he based off his swashbuckler sucked so hard.
