I don't mind anyone letting logic lead them to conclusions, but presenting those conclusions as those of the IMMs is not cool. Interestingly enough, it's precisely this issue that has stirred up so much IC drama over the last few weeks.

Definitely not my intention. I don't actively play, so I wouldn't know in the first place. And more central to my point, I don't blame any character for ICly taking a leadership position in a "wrong" faction. I'm suggesting that the faction's immortal shouldn't allow it to be so easy.

For all I know, the Ain-Eye priest that was Talon leader was a roleplay paragon. I never met him. I started a character that used Nerina as a home base, at least for a while. Once he found out about this, it was obvious he would have to react negatively. And OOCly, I just didn't feel like playing that out. I hear all the advice to deal with it IC: But why should I take lumps to keep in-character, when the gameworld can't be bothered? Typing delete; delete is not a hard choice when you're not having fun.

I think moreso than factions having alignment (not a static one, for certain), that kingdoms have cultures. And with that, a vision, or a mindset. But one that is shaped by the people who enforce the law, at a given time, and an image they are trying to convey, representing those they serve.

When you're making sense I don't argue with you. When you make rational points, I support them. Assigning alignment to organizations is not rational, whereas your insistence they are without aura or alignment is. I still say you remember only the opposition, and not the support, but I suppose that's human nature.
