The only tokens that expire are the ones earned by a character that then is deleted from inactivity. Also, once you retire a character and that character file auto deletes you will lose those tokens as well. I may be mistaken, but I believe a retired character file has the same length of time as an inactive character file.

It is like gambling. The change makes you play again or a lot longer at the hint of a reward. But in the end the house still wins by making you roll a unique character and play even more. I wish I had more time to try this out. I would love to try out a halfling shaman or sprite barbarian or mercenary. Their are some sick combos out there. I am surprised their isn't a thread on daydreaming this new change yet for interesting combinations.

Or you defeat the house, and they get pissed cuz they lose money and then ban you from coming back.

Are there ever going to be other uses for LTs?

curious if I am willing to lose all of my LT's so that we can have the swashbuckler class fixed to be playable.

Actually, this is incorrect, but don't blame Alshain for the mistake. I had thought it was going to work that way as recently as a few days ago, and didn't adequately communicate to the staff that the situation had changed due to a bugfix.

Characters being retired or deleted are irrelevant. Your tokens will remain and be accessible as long as you can continue to confirm the same email on future characters.

Also for the record, you can never spend tokens earned on the character that earned them or even any older characters. Only newer characters are eligible to spend them.

Most likely, yes. But I would not hold your breath.

Its an incentive to have a longer lived char to get more points for the next char. We are getting rewarded with playing longer so that we can play something else in the future. I think its great.

Question, since it is possible for dwarves to be swashbucklers now. Any chance of their innate axe allowing them to also use it as a finesse weapon?

I hope you're right. If confirming an email address is all it takes to start accruing LTs, then I hope there are measures in place to prevent people from spam-confirming email on a bunch of characters to rack up a bunch of them. Depending on how many points you get for that vs. other methods of token accrual, it could be more effective to play shorter lived characters and just be sure to confirm your email on them.
