I don't mind people trying to kill me at all, It has made me an expert in running away and staying alive. I may not get many PKs in, but I die more leveling then getting PKed.

anyway, every single one of my priest find it as an offense to there god to ignore the god and only come when something is needed.

Do you set a title that says in big colorful letters "inquire within for resurrections" when you play a priest?

If so, I think I've found the problem.

Also D, my point is that religious roleplay takes second fiddle to alignment roleplay. Always. It's basically said that if you can make one decision because of your religion and a different one because of your alignment, your character will be punished for siding with the religious motivator. So you're right, it's best to pick one of the compatible options.

In Soviet Kingdoms, cookies cut you!

But, no, let's not derail yet another thread with that issue. :P

Mez, don't advertise you're a priest if you don't like being treated like one. If you want priests treated differently, well, you're going to be competing with Rez McGee, and guess who people are going to socialize with in the long-term?

I don't understand your point. You should never have chosen a religion that was incompatible with your alignment in the first place.

So much of this.

c.f. help aludra. You've got something on your nose there.

We've already found and dealt with instances where the incompatibility was unclear without insider's knowledge. Let's move on and agree that he has a point, but we're talking about lines of reasoning here, so there's bound to be more than one involved.

Grep, I'm going to be very nice and simply say that there is no ambiguity unless you're REALLY looking for it.

This has been argued on the Love boards before. I'm agreeing to disagree in the name of that noble ideal.

Where's WiccanDiva when I need him?

No title is needed to be recognized as a priest. Roll one and try to hide your class. see how long you can keep your class hidden. You have to tell someone (usually your HF), and word gets out.

I normally play priest and I am stingy with giving out rez, I end up making a lot of people mad and they try to kill me. Still, I always hate the idea of people I never talked to ICly asking me for a rez then go back to not talking to me until they need another rez.

That is exactly why I work to become friends at least to a degree with the priest/ess who prayed for my rez. I use it as part of the story creation of my character that by meeting said priest/ess and having that interaction, her view on life is slightly adjusted in some way. Death and rez, each and every one, is a part of the history of the character in my opinion. It should be looked at that way.
