No title is needed to be recognized as a priest. Roll one and try to hide your class. see how long you can keep your class hidden. You have to tell someone (usually tour HF), and word gets out.

I normally play priest and I am stingy with giving out rez, I end up making a lot of people mad and they try to kill me. Still, I always hate the idea of people I never talked to ICly asking me for a rez then go back to not talking to me until they need another rez.

Then why do you play a priest? It's a game, and as much as I hate sending random tells to people I never met(and probably won't interact with much outside of that but certainly won't shy from it), it comes with the territory and is a necessary evil.

Because he wants to play a priest not a [REDACTED].

To anyone who plays a priest like a rez monkey, I say this:
Stop treating your god's most precious gift like a party favor. Protect it the way a teenage girl protects her virginity when she is looking for love. Because rez is the thing you have that everybody else wants. And nobody respects a cumslut.

Is cumslut an acceptable word for the Gameplay forums?

I'm not saying resurrect everyone, but if you aren't going to resurrect people you've never met before, then come on. Especially with the game numbers now. Do you know how many times I have died at a low level without meeting anyone, even when asking for mentors and stuff? At some point, you have to talk to people you never met ICly based off of titles. Even if it's looking for members of a religion you want to join.

May I say that it is possible to have a great RP session from the afterlife with the priest or priestess you are seeking a resurrection from. You do not have to be alive to introduce yourself and have a conversation with said religious person about their God/Goddess and what your beliefs are and what you might do to pay homage for receiving this most precious gift of life. It is well within the right of the priest/priestess to require such interaction from any player, met or not met, before granting as Dulrik says their God's most precious gift upon anyone. Resurrections do not have to be a two sentence interaction with an immediate call to action. The role play can be involved before the request is granted.

And look, if you have not met the person before, now you have made a new friend!

Protect what everyone wants? That's called hoarding.

If you've got it, flaunt it. Sell it. To the highest bidder. If your price is pretentious RP, then so be it, but make your prices known.

It's the same with a priest as it is with a grocer. The customer sees what he gets in advance.
