- Taunt updated to debuff peak intelligence

Any plans for a similar change to weaken and/or feeblemind in a future update?

Since taunt now lowers peak intelligence, was the amount of intelligence debuffed adjusted downward or left the same?

If there's no lag associated with kip-up, why would you want to trigger it? Why not just alias kip;next action? I suppose you'd be avoiding the accuracy penalty associated with being prone, but that's hardly worth triggering for.

For the sake of argument, imagine the following scenario: a sorcerer recites a scroll with triple finger of death on your swashbuckler and follows it up by having his pet bash. You manage to survive the scroll - WHEW! However, you are at 9% health and have approximately one round to live. Do you have an alias for kip-up, quaff recall, get recall @container? If so, do you have the awareness, presence of mind and reflexes to execute the alias in time? Or do you panic and die?

With a well-designed trigger, you live 100% of the time.

Uhh, scrolls have like, a 2-3 second lag after use... so if you're too slow to quaff recall or quaff heal after a necro recites a scroll on you and before he bashes you, then you just need to pay more attention.

I don't personally foresee it too difficult to have an audio cue for being bashed/tripped, and having a macro'd key on your keyboard or an alias that is set to kip up, so that whenever you hear the "bloop" sound, you press the slash key or type 1 or something.

Then for the sake of argument, assume the pet bashes without being ordered. Or assume the necromancer/sorcerer has a mercenary friend with him that bashes after the scroll is recited. Whatever suits your fancy. Point still stands.

If you are using an alias, maybe you live - maybe you don't. If you are using a trigger, you live 100% of the time.

Certainly true. However, the same can be said for using a trigger to avoid getting bashed by an order from a NPC, and the same can be said for using a trigger to order a bash as soon as someone gets up. It's certainly better, almost always going to work, and all of them will get your character deleted. Adding lag to kip up doesn't make it any less useful to trigger the skill, It just nerfs the skill. If you think the skill should be nerfed, then fine, but don't use the fact that it can be triggered as the reason that it should be nerfed.

The update just came out man. Why all the QQ this early? Because instead of killing the swash every time, he now has a chance to get away?

I have not suggested adding lag to kip-up. I don't like the current implementation, since it is prone (no pun intended) to abuse. Adding lag to the skill would be counter productive.

Instead of being an active skill, I think it would be less exploitable as a passive skill that reduced the duration of prone by 50%. The swashbuckler couldn't be locked down by a single person bashing, since he would stand before bash lag expired. It would also prevent the inevitable exploitation that is going to happen with the current iteration.

I'm not QQing. I'm just pointing out that just because something can be triggered, that doesn't mean that it should be nerfed.

Now, should all swashies innately have access to a more powerful version of IA bash/trip innately? No. Heck no. No freaking way. But whatever. I stopped being invested in game balance a long time ago.

Either way, swashbucklers still get wrecked. I don't really foresee any real abuse of the skill. Look, why don't we give it some time and see what happens. I mean the update just came out.
