I recently returned to the game and have not yet fully delved into the political part of the game, but so if it is true, i would not know. could you tell me why/how tribunals came to be more important then cabals?

You can step down from your cabal, but it is up to the leadership of said cabal to decide how doing so plays out IC. You can also rejoin the same cabal later if you wish.

Oathbreaker does not prevent cabal characters from joining tribunals. It prevents hopping from one tribunal to another or one cabal to another. Nothing need be reconsidered.

Neither tribunals nor cabals are more important in the scheme of SK. They serve different functions, which are now more clearly illustrated through a couple changes.

Both your cabal and tribunal affiliation should make sense in regard to your alignment, but it's always been the expectation. Some people are just rubbed the wrong way by renewed enforcement.

I know at least one hellion successfully played without a religion. I do not remember his name, but want to say Salak. I played a paladin of Aludra to mid-champion without investment. I know that there was at least one shaman that joined Sadr. If one is willing to deal with the drawbacks and limitations, it's really not that bad.

I was most definitely a necromancer, but what was a little unique was that I was invested into Achernar's church at a time when most folks thought it was blasphemy.

They were all the "good ol' days", weren't they? I definitely burned a CD with all my logs and left it somewhere "just in case". Good times!

Still in Italy for a few weeks to finish up some things at work, but thank you. It's a pretty exciting time! I can't wait to get back to 'Merica.
