Giving it to Light-armor priests and warlocks. Discuss.

What's there to discuss? This is not a good idea. Priest/Warlock spells do not need to be available to everyone who can recite.

I think this idea was brought up before, but wasn't well received. I'm not completely opposed to the idea as long as there remains a balance. I mean double magmas or double holy word scrolls? ouch

If there's a balance reason for why more classes have scrolls than scribe, I'd be curious to learn it. Because the newbie in me fails to see it. No need to belittle me for asking a question.

Doesn't more classes also have staves than recharge?

Warlocks don't even have the scrolls skill. Adding scribe makes no sense for them.

I like the split between scribing classes and brewing classes.

ICly its easier to read a scroll that write a scroll.
OOCly game balance it adds cool toys to some classes that need extra tricks but they dont have spells to add back into the scribed pool or they already have item creation skills else where. Item creation is limited to either scribe or brew. I feel that the balance of if you get scribe or brew is basically should everyone have access to your self spells or not. That being said their are scrolls of spells you can not have scribed by a player and vials of spells that can not be brewed. They tend to be in hard to get places to make them worth the effort.

Healers need a weapon they can hit people with to restore their hitpoints to make better use of their melee attack. Smack the warrior in front of you with your curestick a few times each round and get an overall of his condition after each attack sequence to know whether or not you need to do more.
