When your AT field fails, you turn to tang. Makes perfect sense.

That's bananas, Gilgon. You can't enchant armor pieces with anything other than MP and AP, and only a total fool would enchant their non MR barb for MP on their upper targetted pieces. MR barbs are certainly easier to enchant for and don't have to go through the hassle of finding armor pieces with innate saves, but their potential for damage reduction is way lower than non MR barbs EXCEPT against magical weapons.

There's still armor that comes with saves on it.

That response has literally nothing to do with what I said or was talking about, and also is not contradicted by what I said.

If you feel that your character is not good at something, then why would you try to put him in a position where his weakness could be exploited.

Is it so hard to get someone else to take the damage for you, while you use your strengths to tear your enemies apart?

I bet people who play scouts think to themselves, well, I should go front row and tank the damage, or people who play sorcerers think, well gee, I'm going to beat this guy with my melee damage today.

I think it just goes without saying. MR barbarians are not going to be the best tanks because of their lack of spell buffs, so stop trying to tank with them. Use them for what they excel at, excessive cheese at debuffing enemies.

You're wrong. As a non-MR barb you can wear full AP on head and chest, the most commonly targeted slots. The rest of your equipment would have to be innately enchanted with will/fort, or else you would be risking easy deaths to extremely stupid [REDACTED] like summons and petrify. As a MR barb, every one of your non-jewelry slots can get full AP.

You're missing the basic point that popping 8 AP enchants on a piece with 4 innate saves is much, much harder than doing it on a piece with no innate enchantments.

Says the guy who tried to facetank a Hammer of Light from an MR griffarb as a darky barb instead of making one of the two MR barbs he had with him tank it.

Isn't there a thread about necromancers that you need to go whine on right about now?

Your deflection skills need some work if you are going for Jay Carney's job, Ardith.

Yeah, ardith, the topic seemed quite fitting since that specific death is the reason that you created this thread.

Would AoN be more "fair" if it couldn't be used while reaching with a reach weapon? AKA no standing behind another guy and yet still de-buffing the enemy?
