Seems like the accuracy on bows went down a lot, and I'm talking about pretty accurate bow + arrow combos vs lower lvl NPCs indoors with little or no wind blowing.
I personally don't like the fact that wind affects your shots, and I appreciate the realism, but the moment you try and shoot outdoors with any kind of breeze blowing, your shots start missing more and more.

Why was bow accuracy changed/tweaked? Seems like ranged combat was at a good place before this.

Shamans get control weather too. So. Its a buff to either. But keeping ranged combat as a limited resource is what it is meant to be. Several years back there was a lot of griping that it was too powerful/cheap. Because scouts and mercs were dropping kids left and right without ever having to engage. It still happens, though significantly less.

If you want to sit in the third row and two rooms away, it absolutely SHOULD be harder to land ganks.

Ranged combat could be easily shrugged off by just wielding a shield and going mood defensive and that's not including any defensive buffs. Now, its just laughable.

There were no specific changes to bows and accuracy. Perhaps you are just noticing that bless doesn't grant as high of an accuracy bonus now.

This is without bless, and I appreciate your opinion on this OA, but you have to at least have played more than just 1 ranged character and experiment with all types of ranged weapon types/ammo. I'm simply pointing out that shots are missing much more, more than they used to and enough for me to notice. I'm actually surprised that nobody else has. Unless there was a change to let dex modify your accuracy with ranged,(Mine is terrible), I can't think of any reason why the shots are missing.

Well that probably explains it. Hitting with ranged attacks has always been dexterity based.

I stand corrected then. This the first time I've heard of dex playing a role in ranged accuracy. I learn new things everyday.

While we're on ranged combat, dexterity applies to hit rolls ... does strength apply to damage with all ranged weapons? Or only thrown weapons and compound bow type weapons? Or something else?
