I am (Gailehn is) helping to organize the events for the Day of the Dead Bonanza; part of what Meissa listed in the Announcements.

Here's the deal, in a nut. Awhile ago, I made a place IC to post obituaries/memories/etc to/about fallen characters. Nothing much came of it, but I thought it could be a fun event for people to come share (laugh at/ridicule, you pick it folks) IN CHARACTER about people you loved/hated with the characters we're all currently playing. I'm focusing specifically on those who have fallen since last Algorween, but if there's someone your character remembers even longer ago than that and you want to praise/vent/whatever, here's the opportunity to have a bit of fun with it.

Time of Death (OOC date - if not in afterlife thread - anything there I can translate to IC time)
Obituary/antidote/story - whatever. - I will format.

I'm also going through some of those threads for names/ideas and will have some NPCs say some words (as needed) to flesh the event out/give it more flavor as well.

Please send me what you want by Sunday 2PM game time so I have a bit of time to put it together ahead of time.
EDIT: I will take late submissions/add submissions after the event as well.

Also - I've been looking for followers of Achernar's Church as I figure at least one of them should somehow be involved. (btw, given this info is pretty much already on the astral board - not exactly giving anything away here but some extra useful deets).

I work from about noon till 9pm server time on monday. So...I can try to make an appearance.

I can see with this Bonanza thing that the game is quite anti-Europeans, but I will be able to leave you my corpse there somewhere if you find it useful.

HI! Most of the staff is currently US based which does sometimes skew events along those time zones. However, I did make a thread a while back, http://shatteredkingdoms.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=23715 ,for people to let me know when their approximate playtimes are. I got very few responses but I've tried to keep a continuing list if you let me know when your play times are I can add you. We cannot promise to have events available but we do try to offer certain ones twice to cover as many people as possible and some of us have jobs/schedules that allow us to be up at peak hours for other parts of the world.

Thank you, Sadal. I have understood most people are at that time, but maybe for next party a little event can be programmed when it is early morning in PST, early evening in Europe and late evening in Asia. I am sure many would appreciate the intention.

If there are those of you who wish to do something involved with Day of the Dead at a more
Euro-centric time, I can set my alarm for something like 6AM local server time and have Gailehn about. It likely won't be with the ghosts and all, but you want to submit me some stuff to post about characters IC you remember and want up on the Memorial Board we can do some RP. I'll keep the log so staff can reward as well.

Again - I'll (Gailehn will) be about 6AM local server time this Saturday for some Day of the Dead stuffs.

Hi all -

Well I waited an hour this morning, and there was ONE individual about. I know there was next to no notice but with all the activity reading the forums I figured there may have been a few more takers. Next time around will be a bit more coordinated I'm sure. I'll still be holding Monday events at the time already scheduled for.

I've also only heard from ONE person about additional characters to include, in addition to a few ghosts who have contacted me to let me know they'll be there, which is kind of epic.

Soooo... if you've played a character in the past year who died, and you want a bit of hoopla to be made about said character, send me a message with a paragraph blurb and I'll be sure they're included (appropriately)!
