This thread has been generated based on the poll completed here in which the 'More use for loyalty tokens (Ex: improve skills)' option took first place.

Please list your ideas for new uses for loyalty tokens here. Ground rules as follows: The proposed use cannot raise the maximum combat power potential of the character. It should also not allow you to skip the normal leveling process.

An example of an approved idea was that you could spend some number of tokens to accelerate learning of a specific skill/spell. How exactly this would work hasn't yet been determined.

Being able to purchase an elixir of youth that reduces your age by a few years (but not below the starting age for the race) or a potion that extends maximum life span with tokens would be interesting. Neither technically raises the maximum combat power of a character - the first option would allow you to stay in peak physical condition longer, though.

Smoochy has sort of dabbled on this in a previous suggestion thread.

It derailed a bit, what with the debating, but the thread suggested some purchasable weapon skills and coin rewards, ingame. That and a little write-up on how the shop would function. Heh. But most of it involved rewards that were more roleplay oriented, such as changing your Foot Steps, Custom Battle Cries/Yells, as well as Customized character Smells/Perfumes. A few players did mention the idea of additional Skills or Spells that could be purchasable unto different Races/Classes using LT as currency...

This would be cool.

It would be great if it only cost 5, maybe 10 tokens for something like this that doesn't have an influence on the overall power of a character in the same way that being able to build an unusual race/class combo does.

The best use for loyalty tokens would be giving them away to other people for good roleplay if you have any to give.

The fountain of youth would be cool. I think it should be at the end of a quest, you could exchange LT for a single vial of water from the fountain of youth. Somewhat like the pilgrimage.

I like the footsteps idea. Could be enabled or disabled if you're wanting to go pk or something.

Also, similar to the halo reach's electric shroud or the hearts shroud, it would be cool to have some sort of a "customizable action" kinda thing so you look more unique standing in a room. I'm not sure if this is already achievable via action + color. But it would be cool.

The ability to have customizable echos. Like how some scripted gear or symbols throw out an echo every once in a while.

I like the idea of additional skills or spells. It would be nice to have ethereal form or tracking. But that improves the character in a way dulrik doesn't want. Perhaps detect age or detect aura? Can anyone else think of any other spells that would be non harmful? Perhaps fast healing for classes that don't get it? Endurance? Are passive skills like that still not alright?

And yeah, giving away your LP would be cool if not abused. "I'm leaving sk forever. Here, have a hundred."

How about being able to trade a loyalty token for an obsidian at banks? Or perhaps using them to purchase a safety box, a non-destroyable box that can only be opened and carried by the owner (storage space small, medium, large depending on how many tokens spent).
