It would be silly to not acknowledge that this 6-item limit has indeed increased the costs of maintaining a hoard of "stored" items.

Orius is right that the real problem that this fails to address is storage characters. Everyone knows who they are, and it is baffling why they aren't being castrated and instead are in fact rewarded by a change like this.

"Everyone" is rarely everyone. The staff very seldom gets tip offs that could help us enforce this. If you see or think something shady is going on, please use the pray channel to try to get a staff members attention. If no one responds, please report the incident via a PM or email.

The staff has more tools to investigate claims than in the past. If we prove gear is being passed to alts, those characters can and will be harshly punished.

The problem with the "harsh" punishment is that it really isn't much of a punishment to these particular people. They will just lvl up another character in 2 days and go get the loot again.

And then please report them again.

I want to put these people on notice. Automatic de-hoarding is not the only recent code. As per player request, more has been done lately to enable policing of these problems. If equipment is swapped to an alt, we can prove it. The troublemakers just need to be called out.

In short, if you are in the habit of storing gear on alts, you should stop now, because otherwise you will be crying in the near future. Haantu/Narulg is already the first to have lost both their involved characters.

Thank you for taking the time to go through the process of doing something like this and refining it to be fair for all. There must be other things you would rather spend your time, but I, for one, do appreciate that steps are being made in this. Also to the imm staff who has to take time from building and roleplaying with others to see that action, or inaction, is justly made.
