Quote:
Someone tells you 'Greetings there. It's Mephistir. I'm a bit dead. I was wondering if you can assist me in finding my way back to life.'
You stop resting, and sit up.
You start to concentrate.
You utter the words, 'gsufuh guoph'.
Your eyes tingle.
You reply to Mephistir 'Oh. Hi there. Um. I think I might be able to. Any requests?'
Mephistir replies 'Not really. Just life.'
You reply to Mephistir 'Hm. So a warlock or shaman is fine?'
You reply to Mephistir 'I think I know one warlock. I could ask him if he could revive you.'
You tell Mephistir 'Hi. Mephistir is dead and I think he wants a warlock to bring him back to life.'
You reply to Mephistir 'I don't think he's awake.'
So Paulina died of old age a while back but I lost my internet and couldn't post an AL thread until lately. Paulina was probably my favorite character I've ever played on Shattered Kingdoms and the only one I've actually age-deathed. All in all, Paulina was an attempt to see how people in SK would react to a genuinely insane character. The answer turned out to be that most people just assumed she was either a mastermind manipulator or a joke to go along with. Towards the end of her life the mud took another swing towards heavy PVP and she got True Sight'd by some random Hammer follower which caused a dropoff in overall roleplaying quantity that made me rather sad. Ironically, she was only killed by one lightie over the course of her entire life - one that ragedeleted shortly after for reasons unknown to me. Despite this, Paulina was still a blast to play whenever I could rope someone into talking to her. Thanks to everyone for making my day.
(In case anyone was still curious, Paulina got her scars when she set herself on fire burning her house down and killing her parents so she could pretend to be an orphan. Yeah)
