Anyway, we all have our own ideas about what is and isn't good, but I think it breaks down into three categories. The things that everyone agrees are good, the debatable ones, and trash. We should try to make that more visible to noobs who get lured into the prompt that opens on the website.

You could give them helmets, and they'd still be subpar.

I'd like to see them at least given a head-worn treasure slot, even if not armor.
And a tweak to remove one of their vulnerabilities (not the sonic one).

I'd rather see certain classes flagged as 'important'..

Priest
Mercenary
Barbarian
Sorcerer

These four classes keep SK running. They are the core of doing anything in game. Rogues/scouts/necros/etc are all nice and have their place, but when the who list is small, absences of the above four classes are far more noticeable.

QFT, woahboy.

QFT.

Merc/barb is interchangable. As long as you have one, I think you don't need the other. I think of merc as more PvE and GPK oriented, and barb as more solo PK oriented, but it's a subtle difference.

Merc/barb, priest and sorceror are easy to build and always useful. Definitely my recommended classes. Shaman can almost fit in there if it's well built.

Paladin is one of the best newbie friendly classes. In contrast, hellion is a lot harder to play effectively. I chuckled at bard not being competitive.

I think I may have said this before, and possibly in response to you as well...
Most classes can me made competitive in the hands of an experienced player. A complete newb with a bard probably won't be too competitive. Bards require some stat sculpting and knowledge of/access to powerful scrolls or just people to scribe for them. Paladins are definitely newb friendly in terms of mechanics, however, a new player may find themselves challenged to meet their RP requirements depending on which deity they chose.

On a side note, bards are amazing to have along for group trips, so no argument on competitive nature there.
Tough Area + Normal: Challenging
Tough Area + Bard : Cakewalk

This has always pained me. In terms of RP and overall character feel, I absolutely love minotaurs. But all of their weaknesses make me reconsider choosing them even though I like them so much. It's a real tragedy. Maybe remove the 'magic power' weakness and let them wear treasure-type head slot items?

Minotaurs also need to just be given 25 str. Much like elves should be given 25 cha.

24 in a stat is a terrible spot.

I think that that would rob giants of their position.

I would never agree to minotaurs getting the same strength as giants.

The removal of a critical weakness and an addition of a head jewelry slot would be a good start.
