Will be mindful. Thank you. Wasn't the intent.

FWIW, since the beginning of the game, the Fist monks have played roles that have included a wide range of being more and less "militarily" active. I remember those griffon fisters who ran the cabal from its inception often took their roles into very violent territory. The very brief Fist-S'hochi war was fun.

I've played more Fist than any other cabal in the game, and I see no inherent conflict of interest between a Fist character serving in a tribunal of any light-aura/light-leaning tribunal. There are plenty of legitimate ways for approaching this roleplay, and it will vary considerably based upon circumstance.

I think that someone who does not see monks active in military national politics should just review game lore and read about Tenshi and all of that.

I don't think that it destroys the image of the Monastery if the most well-known monks are those who ran down from their peak to go defend the innocent people of X against the merciless slaughter of Y. There should also be those who don't, which there now are.

If you think there should be more pacifist, non-involved monks, you should roll one and join. The cabal's RP should be and will be determined by its members.

You should read the lore also. Even in the helpfiles they were arbiters. Does that mean they are pacifist? Heck no. If securing the peace meant that they went to war, they did. To be an arbiter though, you typically need to be less involved with someone who could cloud your judgement. Does that mean that it should exclude them from tribunals? No, keep that [REDACTED] IC or talk to the Monk IMM. Trying to hash it over the Gameplay forums is not the place.

I would have to say that the forumization here is definitely a problem.

I remember playing on Windows 3.1 from a 28.8 Kbps modem with ethernet over power adapter and loving all the imaginative ways that this game attracted me, even when Yahoo was verboten.

Fists need less elves/ayamaoans/peacekeepers. It's a zhensh cabal.

it is funny how there's been like two or three fist/guardians and other fist/trib combination but I've never seen a fist/talon
