I've always been bewildered by the fact that Shattered Kingdoms doesn't let you roll bad combos to begin with.

the only decent loyalty token class is sprite priest.

Certain priest/odd race combos can work, but only with a certain religion spell. I believe that was already executed by a certain wise giant numchuk master though.

there's a handful of viable token combos and before the recent addition of the redeem feature - u didn't have anything else to spend ur tokens on. but now that you can redeem for xpboost, resurrection and re-specialization - seems like a waste to use tokens to use them on a snowflake race/class combo.

just sayin'

re-specialization is the only thing reasonably priced. For the price of a ressurection, Its either spend a couple days getting back up to gm after a reincarnation, or spend a little under half a year in a leadership position trying to get your tokens back.

xp boost is okay, but not really worth it unless you have a ton of tokens laying around to at least get you to the 20% bonus mark. 30% is too expensive. Mino priest, centaur necro, giant paladin and griffon rogue also need to have their prices scaled down a bit, or there needs to be some other method of earning points faster.

Reasonably priced is in the eye of the beholder. Some people have lots of loyalty tokens. If you do, I'd like to give you something to spend them on to bring down your total (and you will because you have enough that you don't care). Not everyone does, but by definition none of these things are essential to making a character. And there are some cheap choices as well.

U r doin it wrong, all the cool kids lead a faction and a dead religion with a [REDACTED] religious spell so nobody will contest them for HF. 2 months=20 tokens.

P.S. no heroes yet that haven't been HF because that's such an easy and [REDACTED] boost to your hero score.

P.P.S. People like Kirlin have almost 300 loyalty tokens from squatting on HF/leader.

P.P.S. Make a Sadr (or other dead religion) char, get HF, then go inactive, watch the tokens add up. Look at the religious leader thing. There's like 4/20 religions that don't have a HF spot open.

P.P.P.S. Remember you can play a leader character as your alt.

P.P.P.P.S. Take it to the next level and get HF of multiple dead religions.

So ur saying if I take up a leadership position (granted I have time for it), a HF slot and roll three more alts for extra HF positions (and meet monthly hours played requirements), I can get a free rez per month via tokens? Gee golly, where do I sign up? uh..no Id rather just reincarnate and grind for a couple days.

Certain things are more expensive because they're so deep into the realm of unique snowflake that they are meant to be extremely rare. Mino priest, for instance, is one that is intended to be prohibitively expensive because the combination runs counter to the in-game history/background of the minotaur race (a cultural + historical rift with the gods). Centaur necro would also fall into this category, given the centaur's close bond to nature (considered the children of Indigo/nature).

Seems like I remember somebody else said something to the effect of "it's a waste to use tokens on a snowflake race/class combo" That's a sentiment I'd agree with if your goal is power-gaming. But there are other motives for playing. Very few (if any) of the snowflake combos offer any boost over the typical combos available. The point of these are not for power-gaming or to give you an edge over that poor newbie you just stomped into the curb. These are really for flavor, for RP, for those players who play the game for the RP, to tell a story, to try something different they've never been able to try-- if you want to have fun with it. If your goal is to powermud and to be the most uber character in the game, you're not going to need loyalty tokens.

Sprite priest should really be a normal option, I think.

That they aren't represents the fact that sprites are not a particularly devout race.
