They are entitled to vote however they want. We will simply have to agree to disagree on how to interpret their votes. My character's "services" in the game will simply be quid pro quo from this point forward.

As well they should have been from the start. Consider a previous Dulrik post in gameplay:

I normally play priest and I am stingy with giving out rez, I end up making a lot of people mad and they try to kill me. Still, I always hate the idea of people I never talked to ICly asking me for a rez then go back to not talking to me until they need another rez.

Then why do you play a priest? It's a game, and as much as I hate sending random tells to people I never met(and probably won't interact with much outside of that but certainly won't shy from it), it comes with the territory and is a necessary evil.

Because he wants to play a priest not a lady of the night.

To anyone who plays a priest like a rez monkey, I say this:
Stop treating your god's most precious gift like a party favor. Protect it the way a teenage girl protects her virginity when she is looking for love. Because rez is the thing you have that everybody else wants. And nobody respects a cumslut.

Resurrection is really a tertiary concern because the RP surrounding it is usually interesting, if not fun. There is very little interesting or fun about consecrating/enchanting.

You could always do what I did and not train the enchanting or brewing skills.

Don't play a priest?

With such a small player base, not wanting to do what your class is designed for is kind of counter productive.

I apologize for pestering you today, but finding people to do this stuff is becoming difficult, but I don't think handing these spells out is such a good idea.

Syn shouldn't be better than everyone else and then we wouldn't have to pester you.

That is exactly why I am suggesting the consecrate and enchant spells be given to more classes. With such a small who list, it is unreasonable to expect one or two players to shoulder the burden of providing utility for the entire who list.

You are arguing against your own best interest. There is only a handful of characters that I will help going forward - the characters that have helped my own somehow.

You get really good perks for shouldering that burden. You get pulled along for trips, you get handed equipment, they tend not to kill you for being annoying, you get to set the tone for roleplay.

Handing these spells out would upset the balance and eliminate rp provided by priests.

I don't get "pulled" along anywhere. In fact, in addition to having to heal these trips I usually have to lead them.

It seems your issues stem from something other than game mechanics.

You are being obtuse.

I have already explained my issue: the inordinate number of requests for consecration and resurrection, which are a direct result of being the only priest online and/or the only priest online in the last several hours most of the time. I don't how much more plainly I can put it. Resurrection is mildly interesting/entertaining, but consecration is neither. It would be to the benefit of the game as a whole to spread these spells around (even though it would be at the expense of my character's personal power/influence).
