CRS was never a fair fight because of the design of CRS. There was never a point to try to fight CRS with a defender who was able to defend with any of the key abilities needed. One Dispel or holy word was basically an attack wipe when fighting the inner guardian. A warlock defending the keep had a huge advantage over any attacking group. I dont think you can compare CRS and its rewards to PvP in the world.

Perhaps because of the low player count, especially in terms of priest characters, the option of a god-rez could be given after a certain period of hanging out at the river. Maybe it should be one full day since arriving at the river (and perhaps limited to only if no priests of the same aura were in-game during that time) or even make the time based on level (ie GMs have to wait longer than Journeyman). This would soften the blow of not having the other characters around when necessary while also not allowing for people to die without consequence as a full day or so of not being able to get to the corpse can have potentially dire consequences yet at the same time, you're not stuck without option either. Then it's up to the player whether they want spirit disorientation and/or potential loss of experience in exchange for getting to their stuff faster than waiting the time for an available god-rez. It would be about the same idea as being stuck in jail for a sentence of X time. Just a thought.

As for Good vs Not PvP, I still say there should be some kind of training IC for PvP, an academy or something of the like that teaches a given class what is decent PvP versus not worthwhile to even try against different types of opponents. I have been learning IC but when going up against the elites of the game, I know that my limited knowledge doesn't stand much of a chance so that's why I accompany others so as to learn technique, gain personal experience, etc. Therefore the 9v2 is probably more like 4 elite w/5 PvP newbs v 2 elite. Not saying that's the best odds either but just pointing that out.

Im fairly sure that most people see the price of death is their loot not the way back to life. Getting a rez as a general rule is relatively easy. With Tribunal rez death quest players rez. When you compare at how long it takes to enchant a full set of armor your probably averaging 30 min. To get the armor its 30 min. To be PKed its 30 seconds .... You can see why people get frustrated. That isnt counting any wait time to find the people for item hunting or enchanting. People only want the best armor which is natural but honestly the different between the top tear and the easier to get armor is less than most people thing.

I had an idea I thought of was to have a duelist like notice board that just records when someone is killed (in game time and date). You could remove your own notes for RP reasons of a hellion or necromancer not wanting to know how often they died. However for those who felt like they where being targeted it would leave a place for attackers to know how long ago it was the last time said person was killed. It gives away for two different groups to know how often the other group is killing as well. It could also have the opposite effect of people trying to rack up kills.

There already exists a reward for going 1v2, 1v3, 2v5 etc.

It's called being a boss. When you routinely jump into uneven fights, everyone is like "You're a bad [REDACTED], man!" And then you get to be all like, "Yeah, I know." Then everyone wants to join your faction, enchant, and brew for you. Then they fill your afterlife thread with paragraphs about how awesome you are. At least that's what happens when you win all of those fights while outnumbered. I don't actually have any experience with what happens when you lose them.
