I appreciate the reports, and the more detail, but I just loaded a few skeletal rats myself, slayed them, and struck them. They both seemed to register.

If strike works, the count should work, but what I'm wondering is if it happened to be hanging up when multiple came in at the same time or something. If you get one that doesn't register, definitely pray about it, and hopefully someone is on to take a look at it immediately to try and see what's happening. But I just incremented it more than a few times, so it's working now.

Doesn't work again, tried in several places. Something breaks the script, I don't think it depends on the npc.
Tried getting another vambrace just in case, still no luck. Stuck on 2953.

So, I'll be posting this along with some other information in the QA thread/Announcements Post later, but for now...

If you run into any you're striking and it isn't incrementing, then what I'll ask is that you send it to Algorab@shatteredkingdoms.org in the following way...

Strike the corpses one at a time.

Do some form of command, glance self is fine. Worth. Anything.

Then do a left, to show the count.

Rinse, repeat.

Anyone that sends me ones that don't get counted that way, I'll add manually myself this evening.

I'm wondering if it's the script getting hit too many times at once causing it to discard or something, and this will help test this, and it seems the most fair way to get that effort recognized by everyone. The best way to test this is still to pray when it is happening though, so I ask you still do that too to try and catch someone on so they can check the inner workings to see if everything is moving through the system properly whenever it happens. The pantheon can see the last person who burned away an undead corpse, so if you're striking a corpse, and we don't see it register on the other side, we can narrow down the problem to there, and so on.

Thanks again for the participation and patience everyone, I'm actually really happy with the number of zombies killed, specially since it sounds like we're probably at least a couple of hundred off due to glitches.

The Tower of the Rose is really the only "cleared" area at the moment. But since the target was hit with flying colors, it looks like the roads will all be getting cleared, and the gate guard for Tlax will be restored.

There will be another part to fix some of the other impacts, if not this weekend, then next weekend. Still looking at availability specifics for everybody, and we don't want to burn everyone out.

So, as stated elsewhere, you guys and gals figuratively and literally killed it. The zombies were done for well before the agreed upon time, but we've went ahead and allowed the bonus XP to run regardless as a reward for the hard work.

I just wanted to give a heads up that it was decided the bonus XP will be ending as of 8 pm PT Wed July 19th, so if you need time for any last minute leveling sprees you have a bit of prior warning.

However, the next part of the process(and bonus xp) will likely be beginning the weekend of the 28th, so you won't have to wait long to jump back into the undead killing fray, but with a bit more scholarly purpose this time(and a few individual rewards).

I will be posting something shortly in the Announcements forum as well, but just to give everyone a heads up. The next portion of this shindig is going to pushed back a bit, and I apologize for any inconvenience that is going to cause anyone. There are a few different reasons for this, one of which is that I really want to do a bit more testing on some of the scripts involved this time just to make sure we have fewer frustrations in the heat of bonanza this time. On the bright side, that does mean the undead slaying weapons will be available longer as well. Also, in the next couple of days the assignment vendor will be offering something for those characters of higher level to check out as well to help them get ready, so all is not entirely lost.

Again, I just wanted to let people know the bonus bonanza XP would not be happening this weekend, and as soon as I have a firm date and more information about related events I will be letting everyone know.

P.S.: The next portion of the event should include some individual rewards for top performers as well, in addition to the more general rewards of bonus XP and undead genocide.

It's for the next part of the event, not the previous stuff we already did.
