Dally: No matter what I think about the death knight incident, I never said your attitude an an IMM was wrong. I'm with exceptions to rules some of the times but there's one thing you mention that didn't sit too well with me. The fact that you were looking for someone to make the concept reality. Let me phraze it in a simple, kinda blunt but honest way;

I wanted more than anything to play a Death Hellion. You didn't ask me about it. You didn't ask player Joe or Jack either.

That's my only problem. I called it OOC connections because.. well hell, it -was- that! If we knew each other and talked and stuff, I might have been the one to play that hellion. Or any of the many players who'd love to. :)

PS: And the God/mortal interaction stuff goes, I agree with you even more. IMMs -should- interact more with Mortals, at least within their faith, and not necessarily the highest ranking ones, but anyone, and those who they believe to be most devout. Yes, the "Exception" trait that promoted creativity in SKs is a thing I miss myself. With some decent supervising, it'd do the MUD a lot of good.

The myth of Henkilo wrote:
In the days when creatures spoke and gods walked the realms daily, it
was decided among the most divine to create something new.
For the gods had grown weary of caring for the fields and the birds,
of looking after the flowing waters and drenching rains. They wished to
return to their heavenly matters and leave the realms in the hands of
another.

As a personal note, I would like to see imms more often. They increase interest, inspire roleplay and give this special thing to this special world.

They're not allowed to show up as much as they did in the good old days, sadly.

I miss the old days where you could just go to a bar and have someone like yopparai show up and expect you to buy him a drink.

Then of course, when you run out of money, he just makes a barrle of booze or something..

Those days were leet.

I wish the gods did show up. I don't know what changed or why. I always hear people talk about it, and I am really sad I never got to experience it.

The only time I ever saw a god appear was to punish some mortal.

It involved the slay command a lot of times.

Be happy that you didn't have to deal with them.

I've been slayed by Marfik numerous times. I remember once when I asked him for IMM rez from final striking..

He brought me back to life, and killed me again, to get rid of the flag.

Then he killed me again and brought me to life again, for good measure.

Then he left me dead a final time.

He also killed me on two other occasions.

And Ain killed me once, too.

And it was so worth it, just to chill with the IMMs.

Yea, last time i had intentional immortal contact we fought a NPC that slaughtered 11 prepared grand masters after we beat it to near death three times in one battle, only to watch it continually restored... and i quaffed somewhere close to 30 heal flasks in 4 minutes.

But it was fun, when i wasn't franctically limping out the harly tent with 3% hp.
