* Skip color code chars when computing wilderness line wraps.

* Add Ayamao Locs 2.

* Add instruments to bards.

* Add individualized spellsets to clerics by deity.

* Add familiarity lapsing, over time.

Peace,
Bux

Things I want to see.

1. A tweak on familiarity - that is, losing familiarity with an area as you spend more time in other areas.

2. A return of religion skills and spells. Nothing frantic, just something fairly simple like frenzy for Alshain, berserk for Sargas, detect magic for Mira. I'd love to see a return of the refresh/heal/mana regen script, but I'm not holding my breath.

3. Religion equivalent of CB.

4. A removal of xp cap for spell spamming? Please?

5. cabal/tribunal wages. Any cabal or tribunal that is not bankrupt pays X wages to members, and Y wages to leaders. This would be interesting and, if wages were high enough, would keep any one tribunal/cabal from getting too many members. It might make them more elitist though in general, because everyone would want people who knew how to get cash. Double edged sword.

6. Either implementation of NPC spells for PCs (I don't see nyogthas getting any specialised training that a sorcerer who travels to other planes for knowledge can't get), or removal of these spells from NPCs. I am just going to throw this out there, but the addition of NPC spells like confusion pretty much killed my desire to level, because I had to sit around like a chump doing nothing.

7. Allowing people to sleep despite a racing pulse.

8. Changing of warfare from cabals to tribunals, giving tribunals 'keys to the city' to guard, and allowing the purchase of guardians that can be strategically placed by leaders, to allow for actual defense of economically successful tribunals while the players are all in bed.

9. Increase of religion levels: add an 'initiate' level that will let any player become an initiate of the faith, and cast religious spells up to veteran level. This provides an interim for characters that just can't find the church leaders - and for church leaders, it'll be easier to spot people by simply typing who religion than it would be to scan the entire who list.

More to come, I'm sure.

Jardek, you can already sleep with a racing pulse.

Really? I thought you could only rest? We are talking about non-magical sleep, right?

It used to be that way, but it was changed.

Give bards instruments damnit!

I'm almost 100% certain that this is coming. I've already learned the play instrument skill with a bard I was toying with, but after a while when I logged back into SK the skill was gone. What's more the NPC that taught the skill wasn't able to teach it anymore.

Sounds like crap but It's true. Now that I look over this post I wish I would have logged myself with that skill in my list. Although I could forge any old skill name into any list so that doesn't mean much.

Santa Dulrik, please bring us...

(In no particular order...)
1. Actions that show even when you're not standing. Not necessarily one for each position, just an action that will add after "is resting|sitting" like it now does for "is".

2. An adverb allowed with the say:
>asay cheerily Happy Yiggmas!
You cheerily exclaim 'Happy Yiggmas!'

3. A way for non-bards to sing without constantly saying and without breaking the emote speech rules. Maybe a symbol at the end, to respond like exclamation points and question marks now do.

4. A drag command, to drag stunned NPCs/PCs, possibly in conjunction with a bind command (with different strengths of material giving different potential for escape, and an escape command for a couple of classes - rogues should be skilled at wriggling out of tight spots, and barbarians should have a chance of using their brute strength).

5. New races - a minotaur for the evil side, and for light/grey, faun/satyr? New shoes for them, since split hooves and horseshoes seem absurd, but they'd need some sort of boon like that, I'd imagine. Brute strength for the former, charisma and dexterity for the latter.

6. A rather worthless spell for clergy, 'create vestments'. Creates a possibly religion-specific, but not terribly powerful, piece of about clothing - sack cloth, toga, robe, what have you, but something for priests to be able to easily offer the newly-ressed and naked.

7. More personalizing touches to differentiate faiths/organizations - I heard that there were once a lot of symbol scripts, but even the RP-only ones were removed in some cases?

8. Raise/lower hood/visor when wearing an applicable cloak or helm. Possibly change adjective to hooded/visored, with the hood having a chance of falling back, particularly in strong winds. Helm would also, as Worts said, help against dirt kick.

9. Have glance show size and a rough age estimate, possibly have a player set eye and hair color that would show at a glance also.

10. Take away language requirements for a pet's emotes to show - surely the language barrier wouldn't so much affect critters?

I'll be sure to leave a cookie by the computer!

Randomized quests. For example, the Sisters in the Laskieran Garden/Maze. Have them ask for a random book each time, maybe. Allow for a variety of tasks to be given by certain NPC's.

I would also love to see some more guilds or orders. Paladin and Hellion orders, add some sort of official wizard's order, and the like. Something similar to the thieves'/merc's guild.

Clothing that conceals other items worn would be nice. (close cloak, you conceal your mithril vest under your cloak for example) As item gets damage there is a chance to Look though the cloak seeing a (concealed) similar to the invis flag you can currently have.

Dual membership would be good as well (at least I hope it would)

Target emotes Ie Emote points at ^blue and laughs. comes out as <your name> points at a blue-eyed human male and laughs.

Also Action emotes. Act give emote throws his @water to ^blue. Comes out as <your name> throws his waterskin to a blue-eye human. Followed by a Masked Give command. Also compatible with look, any attack command (cleave kill back stab), get etc.

emoted speech, esay 'grinning' Hello. A black deep elf says grinning "hello"

Religion spells as mentioned by others.

Newbi zones give regen as Inns (Lowbies only)

An auto option for group targeting if you "Kill" the caster you will attack the person in line with them (kind of like skirmish for melee) Rather than getting the message someone is in the way. You just start attacking them because you have made clear your intent to your Char what to do.

Economy needs a little tweaking still but that can be slow no need to rush that as I see it.

Improve animates slightly (resist dispel etc) and make it so a necromancer can only hold animates so long as they are in their group (few ticks out of it for group swaping etc). Bring control undead back into the mix and removing the 30+ undead armies.

Poison skill for scouts and rogues (maybe bards) to use potions/herbs with bad effects and enspell their weapon/arrows.

I think starting work on the armor sub types would be good but I see that as at least a full year project. Something best not to rush to get it in.

To get old players to play add sub classes. That is to give a few different skills to a class as you build it for example a barb with out rescue or counterstike but with taunt. A merc that cant specialize or rally cry but can berserk and Fury. A merc that cant rescue but can track. A swashie that cant duel wield but gets forth attack. These are just some random examples knowing the code Im sure you could pick more balanced things.
