Mez, I agree with Grakus.

And that's a big deal. And Dabi just makes me think cloth armor. Sorry.

The sacred armor for sargas is energy instead of adamantite cause some idiot wanted his sprite swashbuckler to be super pimped out rather than keep things in the theme of the faith.

There's no reason we can't have that changed with a little RP.

Then you might wanna also pay attention to the Dulrik armor. A heavy armor faith with LEATHER sacred armor.

That's because the person at the time who submitted the build specs was an [REDACTED], not the IMM who put out the request to have them built.

QFT.

I complained alot in forums at the time. They claimed it would support Samurai theme for Dulrik (yay... much rejoicing).
At the time with one wasted spell on the set, magical vestment, it would serve as adamantite AC wise. (yay... one spell lost over other faiths who had, stoneskin etc... much rejoicing).
When all sacred sets were wimped, Dulrik's set became useless (yay... much rejoicing).

Is it still leather? I think someone SHOULD look into that.. And there would be much REJOICING then :P

The problem with any sacred armor is the fact that it was mostly designed by the high followers who were leading the churches at the time. It was designed for their characters more than anything.

Why does Dulrik's church need a samurai theme? That doesn't make much sense for it. Well because the HF has theme for his character.

Why does Marfik's armor look like someone puked after eating skittles? Because someone thinks that was what chaos would wear.

Why is Sadr's sacred armor got a skirt? Someone please tell me that Seromet wasn't strutting around in that while he was alive!!!! I can see it now he was flashing all the Adepts and that is why they were laughing at him behind his back.

The armor really does not make much sense because most HFs didn't look at the religion as a whole and take them into consideration when building the armors.

The armors are a great idea but I'd like to see them redone with ideas given by the faiths and justified for why they think it should be done that way. Quite a few need to be redone as far as looks too.

I find it a bit unfair that some faiths had robes and shrouds prior to the sacred armor and for others to get something like that it ate up a sacred armor slot.

So YAY for RP! YAY for me whining up a storm!!!

Most of the HFs made the sets so that they would be as powerful as possible (Yes, myself included).

I do not deny that I, as a Dulrikian, would have been a little disappointed with the set they got. However, the make-shift (material-wise) set they got, with the magical vestments script it had to begin with, was quite nifty - when all sets got changed to provide the same, the leather just became sucky and the set lost some thematic value.

Not to mention I was never a fan of the japanese lingo (as I am sure everyone who have read a recent thread has become aware of). The point at hand is that I think it was admirable that someone had the guts to stick to his guns and make a flavoured set (some flavour got lost with the japanese terms, but again, that's just me) instead of a powerful one.

Hear ye, hear ye. Not to mention that the only work that was even done with that set was to add the "of Chaos" suffix. Nothing descriptive what-so-ever. It is great mechanics-wise though, which just enforces the last argument :-?

Well, since D said that armor could be changed with rp, I'd suggest that faiths that want to get their sacred gear changed should speak to their patron imm and/or the imm in charge of the area that the armor resets in. (For example, if your armor resets in Taslamar, talk to Algorab, the Taslmar KD.)

There certainly is no reason why sacred armor sets HAVE to remain the same, since by now so much time has elapsed that the original HFs are pretty much all gone.

PS: I designed, lored, described, quested, and made Marfik's set in less than an hour, which is why it looks like it does. No HF to blame there.

I would also like to point out that whoever made the Yed set was one slick cat. That has to be the best looking in theme sacred suit ever. Good lord I wish I could be as totally awesome and creative and good looking and handsome and smell as good and good looking and benevolent and wise and smart and awesome and good looking as whoever designed it.
