Is there a way to change class once my character has been created?

I initially picked bard, but after fleshing out my character's personality a little bit, I don't think that's going to work for her. I've only been playing for about two hours, so it's not problem to just delete her and recreate the character, but I thought I would check first.

Thank you!

There is no way to change a class once you type it in during the creation process.

Well I guess that's that, then.

Thanks for the quick reply. So far I am enjoying SK quite a lot!

Just so you know, bards can actually be pretty good fighters. In terms of 1vs1, a bard can actually beat any other class except mercenaries, barbarians, and maybe shamans. With a group, they're even better.

Also, everyone wants to be your friend.

I think it would be a great idea to have a class retraining quest. At the end of the quest you become the class of your status - 1. You get to keep the lvl of skills, if and only if, both classes share the skill/spell in question. I would think it would be something as long as the travel the realms quest. Then if a person liked their char but didn't like the class, they could retrain, at a cost.

After that enlightenment, I don't like my idea anymore.

I like the idea but how about just getting one brand new skill when the age tick happened (1/2 you send a PM to XXX IMM saying I want the skill, bash ect). To show that you learned something in your life that other people of the same class has not.

It would have to be generic skills (more then 3 classes have the same skills) and not the specialized ones (brew, tame, fletch, skin, backstab ect)

Well, before I change for sure.....

Is there any type of bard culture or traditional history for bards in SK? The character I want to create would be more along the lines of a snobby professional violinist, rather than an outgoing street-musician. She's shows emotion reluctantly, doesn't warm up to people quickly, comes off a bit high-handed even when she is trying to be nice, very respectful of authority but expects to be respected when she inevitably becomes the authority.

Could this work as a bard in SK, or would it be seen as bad RP for a bard? If I remake the character, I'll probably have her be some sort of scholarly magic user.
