They don't just throw dagges btw, though you probably know and are just saying dagger to cover everything as a generalization. They also throw axes, spears, even boulders if the NPC is a giant. I agree the change has made leveling alot harder, especially for warlocks, but what're ya gonna do about it?
Those that are second row or third row usually have Dirt, trip, or another way to blind the NPC. Problem solved. Adapt. And try not to throw them back when you're young, you will get bent over and called Sally.
It's not easy to dirt kick all the time when you are low level. It costs alot of PE. It's not easy to do much of anything when you are low level. I sort of stick by what I said. Instead of colorspraying with a low chance to blind people you could be spamming mm for exps.
You are right there are ways around getting hit by this stuff but what's a warlock, the people who get hit the hardest by this change, gonna do? Earthquake then try to blind 10 NPCs? They could use a staff but that's a waste of a good staff for just training and you have to know where to get a blindness staff to begin with. No help there for noobs. If you fireball a room of NPCs for exp you have to blind like five NPCs before you can even train? By that time your elem would have ruined all the training? Sometimes you can adept uselessly.
After considering your statement I'm going to stick with my point and say that this change screws warlocks and makes things unneccisarily hard on them. Yes, they have ss and irong guard but I've trained with warlocks and that's not enough to stop hoards of spears and stuff.
