Does anyone else have the image of Achernar doing matrix moves around us?

Anyone else just get an idea of Marfik stealing that ability and running around people while they are slowed to the point of almost being frozen, and doing strange things to them?

I'll assume that the speed being constant bit was serious. So you're saying that no-dachi should, in theory, get as many hits as battle-spear?

Pretty sure Achernar doesn't code subtypes and doesn't know whether speed is constant unless he has, for some reason, brought this up with Dulrik.

Not meant to be offensive, just an assumption.

Well, you're wrong. I can see all the numbers. At least when it comes to damage range and speed rating.

Why do certain weapons that compare the same in the speed category recieve different numbers of attacks then?

My guess it is like the consider command. You can consider a NPC that is a level higher than you and one that is one lower than you and they will still both come up as, "A Perfect Match!" Apply that to speed, and walla.

That could be, it still doesn't really explain why certain weapons, generally slower ones recieve 2 attacks some rounds, and 3 attacks some rounds, etc...

Each attack lvl has a check. It is most likely 2 checks. The first check is to see if the skill works or not, which is a random roll vs skill. Then there is a check to see if the weapon will actually get the attack which is most likely skill + wpn speed + other (spells, etc) + randomly generated number. If that beats a certain number, then you get the attack.

Some people would call that a min/max value. *chuckles*
