Espionage is not the main objective of the army. The bulk of police and army forces in any country are not in any sort of secret mission. They are in uniforms and their service is a matter of public record. I can't say right now, but I'm certain only a small fraction of any military or police force is ever involved in something that isn't completely known. That being said, the job of cabals IS secret influence. Tribunals are the public counterparts to these secret non-government organizations. If they want help with espicnage, they should ask their allied cabals.

Then get rid of CRS which forces cabal members to be known and public if they want to be able to defend their guardians?

Secret members don't have to defend. When I joined the Crucible they were like "Don't defend, because people are going to attack just to fish out the members."

That's dumb, and defeats the whole purpose of having CRS.

It's almost like they're doing that on purpose because they don't like CRS.
Watch Dulrik set a new rule that you either defend or get immtarnished.

Wouldn't really surprise me. But D has defended CRS and it's purpose since day one (when we told him at that time, "hey, this is stupid.")

I think it is crap that I can not assassinate people while they are taking a bath or using the bathroom. Plenty of people IRL have meet their end in such circumstances.

Because this ruins any hope I have of playing an assassin who kills people in day to day activities. I think Dulrik should hard code in that people have to take baths and use the bathroom so that I can kill them there and have the rp I want.

Thank you.

I would say that most cabals allow members to choose whether or not they will defend based on the likely outcome of that response. If its one guy who is unknown as a member, most cabals say not to intervene. Even one well known member might not stick his neck out, depending on the circumstance. I don't see anything that is forcing cabal members to come and defend against greater numbers and while risking their possible outing. Again, war is war. If a cabal wants to go to war fighting is the consequence. Secret members will have a hard time staying secret and fighting. It is possible though, to remain secretive even with CRS. If your leader wants you to remain secretive, it is thir prerogative. Tribunals as one branch of the government are hardly the rulers of the kingdom. They are a militant force. Its decided that a kingdom makes such information public. Everyone in Pyrathia is psychic and knows all the stuff about people on the who list which is IC. Making tribunal membership visible just becomes another piece of that telepathic awareness.

When did the who list become psychic powers? I'm not going to argue with the telepathy because, well, tells. But I always liked the idea of your title being something that comes to other characters through the grapevine. Tales of your exploits, rumors from the citizenry, etc.
