You can charm a priest NPC and order it to cast create food. You can also charm a barbarian NPC and order it to butcher a corpse for you. No need to go spending money on food!

I liked Rhea. I am gonna miss her.

When enraged, by any reason (pk, junk/loot, whatever) I try to avoid logging in for a certain period of time till I cool down. Then I decide if I will stay or not. But I can understand (not justify perhaps but understand) the frustration of blind pk/junk/looting.

Take care, and do be back. You will be missed.

Alex - Velorath.

But it was so convenient for my noobs to run around and have a free snack in every inn or portal stones. I understand Rhea's position. I really hate the whole response to these situations of QQ more, or HTFU. That crap doesn't matter if we lose players to it. I don't think people are whining because everyone is mean to them. Hell, I can deal with people being mean to me, so long they are sporting about it. The fact is people just ignore the player behind the screen, and think raping a character ICly and doing the most damage to them or their faction is the best action. Strickly ICly talking it might be, but every action should also consider the player behind the character. I.e. The golden rule of sk. I know it is difficult to enforce, and IMMs will likely not make much of a case for it like in this instance against Rhea. But I don't want to play this game by myself, and want to be able to interact with all sorts of characters.

Last week, I got a tell from a newbie asking me if I could help him recover his corpse. I located for true seeing vials and there were none, so I went to meet the lowbie, who was an aberrant deep-elf and considered as could kill naked. He said he had died in Tul'zuth and that if I gave him a weapon and healed him, he could lead me to his corpse. I located his corpse in a room in Tul'zuth. We gated there and then he started going in the direction of the corpse. He suddenly switched to speed run and sprinted into the no magic room above the brine wight. Then he used the position command to switch positions with me and put me in the front row. There were six lighties there and they bashed and killed me. Then Narlen did an emote about violating my corpse, and Chakos said, "lol newb." All my things were junked.

About three hours later, a darkie priest logged on, and I asked for a resurrection, but Tragonis had already contacted them, and when I got rezzed, I was bashed and stunned. Then Narlen charmed my character and had a necromancer Edrain me 49 levels. Then they made me send embarrassing, sexual tells to everyone on the who list, and also did an RP involving border-line rape that was just implicit enough to avoid punishment. Then Narlen made me spam send tells to Deamuce requesting to be uninducted from the midnight council. Once I was uninducted, they made me wear the scold's bridle and put me inside the lamp of scapegrace keeping. Then they buried the lamp in some obscure place. I have since managed, through pure luck, to escape from the lamp, but have eaten twelve voodoo ganks. Seventeen voodoo dolls have been made of my character, and Tragonis has distributed them throughout the pbase.

I didn't QQ about any of that, even though I think Tragonis might have used excessive force and gone a little overboard. It's a shame that other people have to delete and cry foul when they eat a simple jloot.

This is all obviously a lie, because Baldric never talks about the part where he logs out to avoid getting smoked in PvP that he already participated in. Doing that most certainly removes you from the toughness club.

lol, you're never going to let that go. I still stand by my decision to avoid the 5v1 voodoo doll gank, and I still do not consider 5v1 voodoo doll usage to be pvp.

Only 1 person was going to voodoo you. So it's a 1v1 voodoo gank.

If we want to talk about illogical semantics..

I'm not mad at you for considering that move to be lame. I'm mad at you for logging out -directly- after getting involved in PvP, and because you were going to die and you knew it. If you weren't prepared to accept the predictable outcome, you shouldn't have gotten involved in the first place, and even then you purposefully didn't stick it out.

Don't try to act tough when you've logged out in the middle of PvP and been proud of it. It isn't like anyone can kill your character without taunt or voodoo, and you've proven that you're willing to just log out when one of those two things is possible.

You stay online when 5 people are chasing you for an hour over the entire MUD and also someone else is voodooing you with a doll, and then you can talk about being tough.

I often found Rhea in the inns. We never spoke much but she was always really helpful with everything her priest class could offer, except being on the offense. She was the sort of person you had an easy time asking help from.
It was always good seeing her on the who list.

Rhea was a good character, and one that I always enjoyed seeing across the variety of characters that I played. Always wonderful to see her on the who list.
