Edoras, you do know that the moment, they use AoN they lose every single buff? I know because I used anti-magic songs to lower Zonin's resistance which we then put buffs on him and when he used AoN, it stripped him of all of the effects.

Yes, I very much realize that.

I also realize that if barbs could use herbs, then they'd have access to every single buff a normal barbarian would, except they would also be completely magic-immune, take no damage from magical weapons, and still be able to eat sweetflag to heal themselves. They could even still enter fights with AoN by activating the aura and -then- buffing up.

I'd like to have spell buffs. I don't see how that is balanced, though.

I think I had a stroke of genius - clearly you have a way to differentiate between spells on an item a la scrolls of fod, magma, acid only requiring enough conc to cast the highest conc spell on the scroll.

Could this be extended such that when an item hits an MR barb (scroll, herb, whatever) he was only healed for the single highest level spell on the item?

This would fix the mistletoe issue while leaving MR barbs a way to be healed by PCs who are willing to cast at them.

That's a clever solution.

I have a feeling that the majority of the healing from mistletoe comes from the sanctuary, not the blindness.

It most definitely does, as a healer I've cast sanctuary on multiple MR barbs to heal them. I feel like the mana cost of a spell depends on how much it heals a MR barb.

It does. MR healing is determined by level, manacost and casting time, and multiplied based on the recipients total MR. That is why sanctuary is such a heavy healing benefit.
